Description
This auction is for an awesome lot of scrap gold filled jewelry, watch cases and other parts.I took separate pictures of different groups. There are 76 grams that are all marked “1/20 12k gf”
There are 92.1 grams of watch bands that are 1/20 10k gf on the TOP”
There’s 40.5 grams of marked “1/20 14k gf”
Then the 33 grams are all marked “1/20 10k gf” with a few exceptions! So a few cases are marked “10k rolled gold plate”. So one piece that weighs 1.3 grams is marked “1/5 10k “. Then there’s a white gold filled bulova band that weighs 8 grams marked “1/10 10k” and then a pocket watch clasp that’s 14k marked “1/10”. With the exception of a few pieces with tiny stones, the lots formentioned are primarily pure scrap. Also the pocket watch was not stripped completely, so there may be a tiny bit of metal, but it’s minute.
I like to be VERY transparent with my listings. I want my buyers to know exactly what they are getting.
Then there’s the huge 482.6 gram lot of unmarked gold filled stuff. I tried taking lots of pictures to show you what’s in there. As you can see there are some gorgeous heavy Victorian pieces. A nice slide. A really cool gold filled brush. The belt buckle is marked “ Apollo gold electro plated”. Everything else is unmarked. I am not an expert with Victorian gold filled items. I don’t know if they are 10 12 or 14k. I just don’t know. And you can clearly see there’s plenty of stones in that lot, so please keep that in mind if you are buying purely for scrap. But there are many great sellable pieces in this portion of the lot.
So again, here is the breakdown:
1/20 12k - 76 grams *all marked*
1/20 10k bands- 92.1 grams *all marked”
1/20 14k- 40.5 grams *all marked*
